Have you recently decided to straighten your teeth? Or maybe you have recently got your braces fixed and are wondering how to eat with braces. Well, if the answer is a yes, this blog will be your guide to eating with braces.Β
If you have opted for Invisalign or clear aligners to get your teeth aligned, then eating with braces will be quite straightforward for you. All you need to do is remove your aligners when you eat. Once done, rinse your mouth and your aligners and place them back again. With clear aligners, you don't have to worry about avoiding any foods. Aligners will not be in your mouth while eating to sustain any damage or, in turn, damage the teeth and gums.Β
However, if you have opted for traditional metallic or ceramic braces, you have to be careful with what you eat. Ceramic braces are a little fragile compared to metal braces. Both the systems use brackets and wires to align your teeth, and faulty eating patterns or hard foods can cause them to snap. This may damage your braces and even cause injury in your mouth.Β
